LAMBLEY VILLAGE CRICKET CLUB

Welcome to the LAMBLEY VILLAGE CRICKET CLUB website. We are a friendly club and play with the emphasis on enjoyment and we are always ready to welcome new members and players. We are a well managed club, run by a dedicated group of volunteers which means you won’t find a cheaper place to play regular cricket in the area. Our home ground is on Lambley Lane, Gedling, lined by weeping Willow trees and with views of Gedling church. More importantly the pitch is one of the best in the lower divisions of the SNCL, usually resulting in high scoring games.

We have 2 Saturday teams in the South Notts Cricket League who were both succesful in 2011 (the First team promoted as champions of Division J and the Seconds just missing out on promotion after a late surge up the table) and are now in SNCL Divisions H and N. We also have a Sunday League side in the Newark Alliance Division 5, mostly made up of young players. In midweek we have an occasional T20 side which is also part of our youth academy development squad. If you are a youth player then LVCC has a great record for giving youngsters a chance.

So if you are looking to join us just email - thenewark@hotmail.co.uk - or you could just turn up at nets which take place at the ground on Thursday Evenings from 6pm (weather permitting) during the summer whilst Winter nets are on Monday nights 7pm til 8.15pm at the Girls High School on Forest Road East, starting in February 2012.

The club will also make spectators very welcome for home matches
